Personal Description:

I am a native English speaker. In 2020, I completed the Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (CELTA) course and I am a qualified English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teacher.

I am a BSc Biomedical Sciences graduate from Queen Mary University of London. I have 5 A Levels: Biology- A; Chemistry-B, Physics- B, Economics- B, French- B.

My GCSEs comprise of 5 A*s, 4 As and 2 Bs.
GCSE English Literature: A

I am only available during UK morning times to tutor.

Teaching Experience:

My colleagues, peers and fellow students tell me that I have a good way of explaining concepts. I enjoy helping others learn and understand. I am patient and eager to help pupils who may be struggling so that they may succeed.

I enjoy learning new languages and therefore, I am very aware of what it is like to learn a foreign language. Because of this, as an English teacher, I am able to sympathise with my students and consequently, my choice of teaching methods naturally adapt to match the needs of my students in various situations.

As part of the CELTA course, I gained several hours of experience in teaching English at various levels and I am qualified to teach all levels.

For the past year, I have been working full time as an English as a foreign language teacher in an elementary school in South Korea. I have experience teaching children aged 3-12 English as a foreign language.

Teaching Approach:

I can tutor you in the four skills of reading, listening, speaking and writing, as well as language focus lessons on grammar and vocabulary. Additionally, I can help you to improve your pronunciation skills. I enjoy teaching and my lessons are engaging with a lot of student interaction. Alternatively, if you are taking English classes with a college but want a tutor to support you and help you improve further, I am available. I have a professional qualification to teach English as a Foreign Language and I will apply my skills in tutoring.
