Personal Description:

I am interested in languages and how people learn them. I have worked as a language tutor in Switzerland and the UK and taught students of all ages from many different backgrounds and with many different learning requirements. I have also worked in industry as a language teacher, translator and interpreter.

One of my hobbies is learning new languages. I have learned Spanish and I am currently learning Greek.

Teaching Experience:

After completing my degree, I worked for a private language school in Switzerland for ten years teaching English primarily to German-, French- and Italian-speaking students on a one-to-one basis and in small groups. Since returning to the UK, I have taught German and French to English speakers, for academic, business and leisure purposes, individually and in classes, and also taught small groups in industry.

Teaching Approach:

Due to the wide variety of the students I have taught, my approach to teaching is flexible. The tuition you receive from me will be adapted to your own goals and ambitions as well as your learning abilities and needs, and I will do my best to make the learning fun - even the grammar!
