Personal Description:

Hi, call me Dell. I'm a native Londoner in my 30s, and I'd love to help you improve your English!

I've worked previously in voice acting, administration, and finance. I have a BSc in Molecular Biology from the University of Exeter. In my free time I read a lot of fiction, listen to a wide variety of music, work on my Spanish (solo tengo nivel B2), and proof-read my friends' academic writing.

I give some discounts, including online lessons for students who are not located in the UK, please ask about these!

Teaching Experience:

I completed a 120-hour Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) certificate in 2023, plus a number of 12-hour specialist certificates from the British Council.

My language teaching experience is all one-to-one or in small group, for both adults and children. I've taught in other contexts, including pre-exam tutoring for friends' kids, one-to-one music lessons, and designing and delivering corporate workplace training.

Teaching Approach:

I think it's incredibly important to personalise my lessons to your needs and interests; if you're engaged in the subject we're talking about, you will feel more focused and motivated! So I prefer to start by finding out your learning goals and structuring our lessons to work towards them, whether you want to focus on conversation, business English, writing, listening skills, grammar, or a combination.
