Personal Description:

Thank you for looking at my profile. I am an enthusiastic, fun and professional teacher and tutor of languages and have been in education for 20 years. I love teaching languages and have many wonderful students who are learning different languages at all levels. I am delighted to say that my students have made excellent progress in exams and we use many different methods. I also teach for three distance learning schools and therefore I cover all exam boards and exams including GCSE, IGCSE, IB, A-level and Pre-U. There are so many opportunities out there. I can offer French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Japanese to all levels as well as beginners Swedish, so as you can see I really enjoy languages and I love seeing everyone learn and make progress.

Teaching Experience:

I am currently a full -time tutor to students all over the world both face-to-face and online. I work for three distance learning schools covering Key Stages 2 and 3 as well as teaching GCSE, IGCSE, IB and A-level languages I am Lead tutor for one school so I can work on the courses more closely and introduce video lessons to make the learning even more fun. I absolutely love my work and I am very lucky to have so many opportunities to teach languages. My most recent school teaching job was at a high school near Wakefield which was a Specialist Language College where I brought Italian to the school as part of the languages curriculum. I decided to work as a tutor following the arrival of my daughter and never looked back. Seeing my students progress so much is learning languages is wonderful and very important to me.

Teaching Approach:

Learning a new language should always be fun and there are so many ways to learn especially with all the extra resources out there. I offer lessons at all ages and levels, for exams or just for fun! All lessons are designed and tailored to the individual needs of the students and I always have a calm and enthusiastic approach to teaching. For younger students (and adults if they wish!) I set up a google classroom so parents can easily keep up-to-date with classes as well as students and lesson notes and homework is all in one place. It is useful to have technology at our finger-tips. All students can call me for any advice between lessons as well, it's good to know that there is full support out there for your language learning journey.

I am available to offer all kinds of language tuition in lanaguages from basic pharses needed for a holiday to degree level! It is important that the tutee is happy with the content of lessons.

Lessons are carried out in my home in a suitable environment for teaching and learning or online.
