Personal Description:

My name is Bisma. I live in the UK and I have been teaching Urdu to children for the past eight years, both online and face to face. I hold an enhanced DBS check. I am also a qualified science teacher in the UK.

Teaching Experience:

I have been teaching Urdu to children online for the past eight years through **Contact Detail Removed**. For the last five years, I have also been teaching children face to face in Luton, UK. I have a five-star rating. I help students learn Urdu from beginner level to advanced level, and I also teach GCSE Urdu students. I support learners who want to read and write Urdu, as well as those who only want to learn spoken Urdu. In addition, I guide parents on effective methods for teaching children.

Teaching Approach:

I first assess each child’s level to understand where they are, and then I teach them accordingly. If a student is a beginner in Urdu and has good understanding but cannot speak, I speak to them in Urdu and encourage them step by step to start speaking. If some students can understand and speak but cannot write, I help them develop their writing skills.

There are also students who cannot understand, speak, or write Urdu at all. In that case, I explain everything in English first and then gradually encourage them to speak Urdu with me. It can be more challenging for students who are complete beginners, but I support them patiently and step by step.

My teaching method is fully child-focused. I deliver lessons in English when needed, and during Urdu lessons we always begin by revising the previous lesson. My lessons are fully planned according to the student’s age and individual needs.

In my classes, students learn sentence formation, vocabulary, nouns and pronouns, singular and plural forms, gender recognition, tenses, grammar, and other key Urdu language skills, all tailored to their level and learning needs.
