Personal Description:
I have been teaching Turkish since I graduated in 1998. For more than twenty years, I have experience in both preparing Turkish speakers for different exams and teaching Turkish to foreigners.
Teaching Experience:
Between 2007-2012, I taught Turkish in different schools and institutions in London. Between 2012-2016, I worked as a Turkish lecturer at Istanbul University. Since I came to England, I have been teaching Turkish GCSE and A-LEVEL courses and Turkish to foreigners.
Teaching Approach:
My teaching approach is a synthesis of the direct and communicative approach. As a teacher who is comfortable with and has adopted a conversationalist style of teaching, I believe this is the most effective way to motivate a learner. By way of facilitating a conversation, or a discussion, which involves the exchange of ideas, incites a higher level of understanding and learning. It is never dull and never passive for either the student or the teacher.
