I am a friendly approachable linguist with a genuine passion for GERMAN, SPANISH and FRENCH. AndrewFrom Frances (5/5): Brilliant tutor (with endless patience) who listens to why you would like to learn the language and teaches to provide the maximum use of the time. The lessons are interesting, stimulating and entertaining. Also a wide variety of links, books etc are given to enable you to continue practising at home.

Perhaps this was due to the fact that English is not your native language & some of the detail may have been lost in translation - I am not sure.

After our first lesson I was about to offer you the beginner rate but you decided not to return. In 25 years of expert tutoring with many successful students, this situation has never happened - but I appreciate your decision & apologise for the misunderstanding. Good luck with your studies.

He uses a variety of materials such as TV clips, cartoon stories and photos and the lessons have been personalised to help me improve my French conversation. Already I feel that I'm making good progress.

From Sue (/5): In 4 sessions Cameron has made amazing progress in his year 10 GCSE french. Andrew adjusts his pace depending on Cameron's existing knowledge of a topic, but he keeps the lesson moving so there is no time to get distracted or bored. Highly recommended.

From Mathew (/5): Five weeks before her AS Level exams, our daughter didn't feel as confident in her German oral as she thought she should be. We agreed that being able to practice with a "stranger" rather than one of her teachers would help. It certainly did. Andrew proved to be knowledgeable, professional and, above all, approachable. After just one hour, our daughter felt much happier. Andrew also provided revision content, useful phrases and good advice. After four one-hour sessions with Andrew before the real thing, the level of confidence our daughter demonstrated matched her ability. We now have a two-month wait to see how she got on!

From Barbara (/5): I am enjoying my German lessons with Andrew; I feel I'm learning quickly as the lessons are tailored to suit me. As I'm interested in conversational German it's also nice to cover the informal terms of speech and colloquialisms which aren't generally covered in text books. The use of computer aids (and even an Early Learning clock!) also keep the lessons interesting and diverse. I feel I'm building a solid knowledge base and an understanding of how the language works which will give me the confidence to try my new skills next time I visit my German friends.

He has very good knowledge of the language, is enthusiatic, very personable and has tailored the lessons to suit my specific requirements. I believe I have progressed much quicker with andrew then I would have done in a class or with a language software package.
