Personal Description:
Private teacher with more than 7 years of experience holder of the JLPT N1 who majored in "Japanese language culture and civilization" offers complete Japanese classes. (Beginner to Advanced.)
Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching for more than 7 years (because teaching is for me the best job ever).
If you are motivated and have time to dedicate to learn Japanese don't hesitate to ask me any questions.
I will provide all the documents for the Kanji and you will only need to buy 2 grammar books.
Teaching Approach:
Hi there!こんにちは!
Private teacher for more than 7 years who majored in Japanese LLCE at Paris 7 Denis Diderot University (Master 1 done at Keio University in Tokyo and Japanese M2 teaching at Paris 7/INALCO) and holder of the JLPT N1 (Japanese language skills diploma), I offer private lessons for people wishing to master this beautiful language.
The method I use consists of the complete learning of the grammar without superfluity, meaning that the explanation is concise and clear without unnecessary information. This facilitates its review, assimilation and use in conversation.
Homework ensuring that the grammar learned in class is reviewed and understood will further help the memorization of the grammar and some of our class (at key moments only) will also be entirely dedicated to the careful revision of everything you have learned to leave nothing to chance and to be sure that everything is indeed acquired.
In terms of writing, I also use my own method allowing an effective memorization of the ideograms (kanjis 漢字) through sentences and other advices (I will provide you with all the documents and you will just need to print them).
Kanjis being very useful in learning Japanese, I start them after a few grammar lessons as important basics are needed to learn more easily. (Kanjis are a great source of vocabulary so see them as an advantage instead of a huge task.)
The challenges being very effective in learning a language, I make sure to give them very regularly throughout the class. It helps build good habits and we learn a lot from our mistakes.
Then, when the student has sufficient basics, I gradually integrate the use of short videos (mostly to review the grammar we studied but also as a translation training), discussions on various themes, and short speeches prepared at home before the class on a freely chosen theme (Japanese culture, your hobbies, Australia… ) allowing the student to put his knowledge into practice and improve their Japanese by talking about what he/she has created at home.
For more advanced students, complete preparation for the JLPT N1/N2/N3 is also possible. Just plan enough time before the exam and the course will focus first on grammar before followed by exercises. (読解、聴解、語彙)
From my experience, a minimum of 2h00 per week is necessary to ensure good progress at a good pace. (1h30 might also work but please let me know beforehand.)
If you have limits financially please let me know as well.
I have given classes to people from the age of 10 to 50 so it is never too late to learn as the method stays the same but I will take students from the age of 14 to no limit basically.
If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me.
よろしく。
