Personal Description:

I obtained Master of Science (MSc) in Renewable Energy from Heriot-Watt University, 2009. Also I got Advanced level British Sign Language certificate in 2017.

I'm patient, kind and really enjoy teaching.

As a tutor, I respect your time and energy and nothing can make me happier than your smile after your exam.

Training Experience:

I have updated DBS check.

During recent years, I have been tutoring many students in different subjects and levels. I also was university teaching assistant for undergraduate students in 2007.

At the moment, in addition to tutoring, I am working as a teaching assistant in primary schools.

Training Approach:

I realise that students have different styles and methods to learn, and will adapt myself to use a technique that suits them the best. I always discuss the needs of my new pupils very carefully and aim to build their confidence in the subject.

Usually each session has 3 main parts:
1- Reviewing of last session to confirm the student has understood it properly.
2- Teaching new topic
3- Practising different examples

After each session I'll give my student homework, may include samples of exam questions. Also,I set up random tests.

From Jimmy (5/5): Mona is an absolutely brilliant tutor. She teaches my daughter and son maths and science and they both really feel engaged and inspired to learn. Mona is very diligent and prepares the lessons extremely thoroughly, she also provides homework which after every lesson which is marked carefully. Mona’s is a very patient tutor and is extremely kind and ensures the lessons are understood before she moves topic. We are so pleased we found Mona as she is having a very positive influence on our children’s education and outlook on learning. Mona is not only an excellent teacher she is also a wonderful, genuine and caring person.

I’m very pleased with how my studies are progressing, Mona breaks down the subject into manageable pieces making sure I understand each aspect, asking me questions to get me thinking on my feet as our lesson progresses. Mona has also started to equip me with the study skills I need for successful revision.
