Information About Mohammad - Welling trainer

Personal Description:

With an Undergraduate in Computer Science and currently enrolled in MSc Cybersecurity, I am a passionate Cybersecurity Practitioner with special interest in applying myself in Penetration Testing. I have always enjoyed teaching, ensuring that in addition to technical skills I teach my students, I also help improve their critical and analytical thinking capabilities. Professionally, I am always working on improving my daily professional processes by creating scripts and automating the tasks that do not need human intervention. However, to stay updated with the ever evolving IT landscape, I train everyday on networks and web applications that I have deployed on my local network, making sure I remain a sharp penetration tester.

Training Experience:

As the CTO at Stingrai, I currently lead and mentor two junior penetration testers, guiding them toward achieving their first cybersecurity certifications based on their individual interests. In my previous role, I trained four interns across various penetration testing engagements, including VAPT assessments on web applications and internal networks within secure environments. I provided end-to-end support throughout their learning journey—recommending tools, sharing learning resources, sharpening their research skills, assisting in the verification and exploitation of discovered vulnerabilities, and improving the quality and clarity of their reporting.

Training Approach:

I’ve mentored numerous individuals in penetration testing, helping them develop skills and confidence in the field. I have also lead multiple teams in penetration testing engagements, providing guidance throughout each project. setting up a touchpoint every few days , where we discuss the progress and answer any questions they may have or to suggest the further steps that may benefit their results. Instead of providing a strict roadmap for the students to follow, I believe more in guiding students on how to build their own pathway, while I provide professional insights and feedback along the way, making sure their enthusiasm and creativity remains intact, while I polish the rough edges of their learning curve.
