Personal Description::
**ONLINE CLASSES AVAILABLE**
I am a professionally trained dancer and musical theatre performer, currently working as a freelance dancer and dance teacher. I trained at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts, graduating with a first class BA Hons in Musical Theatre and a Level 6 Trinity Diploma in Professional Dance. Classes give the opportunity for students thinking about going on to full time dance or drama education to refine their skills in a safe environment. Tuition prepares the student for dance/drama/musical theatre school auditions, taking away the stress of having to prepare solos, monologues and songs all alone. Classes run in addition to the student's usual classes elsewhere but gives them a space to work solely on the needs of their upcoming auditions.
With a knowledge and experience of the audition process for the majority of schools, I provide insightful sessions that ensures the student feels prepared and secure in their knowledge prior to entering the audition room.
I also run sessions for those who want to refine their skills and enhance their performance style in greater depth without necessarily wanting to enter into full time dance education. Some students go on to compete locally and nationally in performance festivals. Others enjoy their time in the studio for the love of the dance and musical theatre world. They learn vital skills including confidence, discipline, work ethic, self representation, and more, which they will carry with them throughout the rest of their lives.
Dance Instruction/Teaching Experience::
I regularly teach students of all ages and abilities and have been doing so for a number of years. I also run group workshops in a number of dance and musical theatre styles.
Teaching Approach::
With an in depth knowledge of the industry and the relevant training institutions, my teaching is always relevant and up to date. Being a fairly recent graduate of one of the most prestigious schools, I am highly aware of current demands and requirements that that may warrant a student their place. I draw from personal experience to ensure my students are aware and capable of what will be asked from them in any given situation. I work hard to maintain a good relationship with my students. I will stay in contact once they have moved on and always endeavour to be a friendly contact should they have any questions throughout their training or further into their professional career. I believe that having a reliable contact at what can be a scary time is highly important.
In the sessions we work together by discussing the student’s initial goals and then creating tailored lessons and feedback sessions, ensuring that they develop all the relevant skills and knowledge to achieve that goal.
