Personal Description:
I am a UK qualified teacher, specialising in English and Pastoral care, including life coaching.
I started teaching 20 years ago, beginning as a private music tutor while my children were young. I then moved on to qualify as a Secondary School English teacher.
I have worked in both mainstream and SEND school environments, in addition to having worked in an adult leadership and training capacity where my life coaching CPD training, and Leadership in Education diploma were applied.
During covid, much of my work moved online, where I continued teaching and coaching, and found value in being able to support people from the comfort of their own homes.
Life Coaching - I offer coaching for any sphere of life, from business, to personal. I specialise in conflict management, and am experienced in working with teenagers. I am adept in working with people through life transitions, whether teenagers moving out of home to attend university, to people moving out of a relationship or into a new job.
Creative Writing - In addition to writing fiction and non-fiction, I have taught creative writing for many years, and offer mentorship and coaching for writers wanting support and structure to enable them to succeed in their goals. I have a wealth of experience which I use to provide strategies for overcoming writer's block and procrastination.
Training Specialisms:
Life coaching - I have completed various CPD courses in life coaching, in addition to providing life coaching support in various working and personal environments.
Creative writing and mentoring - I have a degree in English Literature and Language, specialising in creative writing. I used this, alongside my teaching degree, to support writers of all ages in their writing pursuits.
Training Methods:
I work within the Growth Mindset philosophy, focusing on a person's individual values and goals in order to deliver tailored support and coaching. I have a gentle and patient approach, while also providing accountability and encouragement when needed.
My approach is always learner-led, meaning the priorities and needs of the student steers each session. Our first session would include exploring these priorities, values, and needs, before establishing the best course of action together.

would definite recommend.
I have a grade 7 but hadn't played in 4-5 years. However, Miss Rachael was happy to access my level and arrange the class accordingly. It felt good to be playing again and with her guiding me, I felt confident that I still had it in me.
I would recommend her for anyone looking to learn or rekindle their piano interest.
P.S: She's getting a new piano soon too :)
