Personal Description:

I have been a teacher in various forms for all of my professional life. I was the Head of Psychology at Abingdon College for 10 years. During that time I taught academic and applied psychology up to degree level to both young adults and mature students. Following on from this lecturing career, I have written and delivered numerous personal and professional training courses, including: "The Psychology of Communication"; "Relationship Psychology"; "Sports Psychology"; "The Development of True Assertiveness"; "The Power of the Social Context"; "The Art of Therapeutic Living"; to name but a few! I also combined such training delivery with one-to-one, host-tutoring of Professional English to international students - most notably to humanitarian aid workers who needed to pass the extremely stringent ICRC English assessment, with 100% success rate I might add! I continue to offer A Level and above Psychology and Professional English online… I have also recently developed a series of one-to-one, personal and business development, applied psychology, training courses / workshops / seminars to be delivered exclusively ONLINE during the societal lockdown.

My newly formed, personal and professional training company offers an integrated series of one-to-one, highly interactive and collaborative training course modules that feed into a uniquely, innovative: "Exploration of Consciousness" course that focuses on the COMMUNICATION imperative within LIFE COACHING. Each module covers a selected, question of applied psychology and explores, at various depths, the relevance to the client's individual, personal and / or business experience and perspective. Although this one-to-one course does require a level of personal honesty and meaningful reflection, all of which is treated with professional confidentiality, it is not a fully-fledged counselling experience and should not be treated as such. It is however, a potentially wonderful and satisfying opportunity to delve a little deeper into the conscious and unconscious dynamics of the human condition and from the perspective of YOU! In order to gain a meaningful understanding of the range of content and it's potentially perspective-changing power, it really does have to be experienced at first hand. This is why the first session is offered in the form of a "Taster" and at a significantly discounted rate thereby affording you opportunity to make an experientially-informed choice at relatively minimal financial cost.

Training Methods:

The "One-to-One Exploration of COMMUNICATION, Consciousness & Life Coaching " course introduces key aspecst of applied psychology that are directly relevant to the particular question for each particular module. The student then independently considers this input and generates their own personal and / or business examples to be shared for facilitator input, analysis and collaborative discussion. Where appropriate a modern version of the socratic method of Q & A is used to illuminate, challenge and reintegrate the relevant conscious and unconscious dynamics.
