Personal Description:

I hold a Masters in Photography and have been in the photographic business with over 15 years, I have used all modern digital cameras from compact, Digital SLR and up to and including Medium Format Digital Cameras.

I specialise in Wedding, Commercial, Advertising, Insurance and Injury based photography working to Licentiate standard of the British Institute of Professional Photography and Associate of The Royal Photographic Society. I have produced high quality images for wedding couples as well as using my training and skills to produce images for websites, restaurants, Advertising and Photo Restoration along with producing images which stand up to legal and ethical scrutiny in both injury and insurance work. I have written training methods for photography, using Flash, Getting the Most from High Definition Capture as well as working with other photographic trainers in the wider field of photography. During this time I have trained photographers in specialised subject such as Marco, Flash, Camera Care and Post Processing Software.

I use fine optics and microscopes and prepare images for web and magazine layout for medical publications using Photoshop Techniques.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring both amateur and professional photographers with over ten years and always endeavour to get the maximum out of every camera regardless of its size and cost.

I relate well to people.

I speak clearly.

I can quickly evaluate skill levels of individuals and can modify both techniques and explanations to suit the learner.

I have been involved with photographic training over the last six years helping both amateur and professional photographers alike.

I am very familiar with the theory and practical use of all formats of cameras ranging from 35mm to Large Format Equipment.

I am conversant in the many works of past photographers as well as latter day amateur and professional people.

Presently, I work as a Tutor and I have over 65 persons in lesson ranging from the age of 4 to Age 56. I am also studying Photogrammetry after my MA Photography.

I collect reference books and articles books on the subject of Photography and Art.

I can use both Traditional and Digital Techniques for Image Capture.

I can use both Traditional and Digital Techniques for the development of images both in the Darkroom and in Post Processing Software such as Capture One, Adobe Lightroom and Adobe CS4, 5,6/ Elements./ Final Cut Pro/X.

I am an advocate of the new revolutionary techniques of HD Video captured by an SLR.

I can use both Apple Macintosh and PC Systems.

I have written Presentations in Photographic Lessons.

I can demonstrate Practicals on the subject of Photography.

I can tackle many aspects of photography from Portrait, Wedding, Commercial, Urban, Landscape, Black and White, Architectural, Commercial, Macro to **Contact Detail Removed**photo as well as Microscopy and Photomicrography.

I can competently create beautiful Black and White Images

Teaching Approach:

I am a kind person and I do realise that I was once a beginner in this area, while it will not happen overnight, my experience has shown that my clients can fastrack their abilities by the benefit of my methods.
I have just completed an MA Photography in where I undertook a project which was an assertive evaluation on landscape photography, highlighting the factor of scale and the part it plays with both the picture and the viewer.

Using traditional and digital photographic techniques together with specialised optics. my work explored conventional landscapes alongside fragments in extraordinary detail. My work challenged the traditional view that photography is a science or art, demonstrating that it can be both.

Within two years I want to build on my MA Photography and hopefully study for a PhD in this area. I also want to build on my Associate status of The Royal Photographic Society and want to aim for a Fellowship of this organisation within two years by September 2014.

I have made some very good friendships in the area of photography who are of enormous help to me.

I have spoken at major International Lectures in overseas Conventions.

I am hoping to have a Fellowship of The Royal Photographic Society within two years, September 2014

I aim to start an Outreach Program on Photography by the summer of 2013.
