Personal Description:
I am a practising artist specialising in portraiture, with a passionate interest in Art History. As well as Drawing and Painting, I have expertise in Printmaking and Textiles.
Teaching Experience:
I taught Art, Textiles and History of Art in sixth form tutorial colleges and secondary schools in London for many years before having my own children. I was closely involved in their early education and tutored my daughter to achieve Art scholarships to prestigious London schools at 11+ and Sixth Form level.
Teaching Approach:
I believe that students flourish when they feel confident in a subject and their enthusiasm is nurtured with encouragement. In Art lessons I aim to give my students the technical skills they need to create work that they are proud of and to help them develop ideas to take their creativity further. I strive to give students an appreciation of works of Art from across a wide span of times and cultures.
