Personal Description:

I am a practicing artist with over 35 years experience I specialize in painting and drawing in acrylics oils and watercolours.I also love creating illustrations for adults and children. I run a community arts project delivering workshops to schools and adult groups I Have a studio at Ushaw College Durham . I am passionate about the arts and get a huge buzz from watching students grow in confidence and skills.

Teaching Approach:

My approach to teaching is informal and relaxed. I work at the pace and interests of my students and try to make each session as enriching and enjoyable as possible. As a self taught artist until I went to University in 2005 I appreciate how scary it can be to try something new or return to an activity after a long time I am patient calm and relaxed and try to create a learning space which is the same.
