Personal Description:

I possess a Masters degree in Creative Writing (for film and stage), and am a published author and playwrite. I have also spent the past 2 years hosting creative writing workshops. One of my biggest strengths is an ability to enthuse and inspire others. Writing is my life, and creativity is my life-blood. I love to pass on this enthusiasm in an entirely professional and yet relaxed atmosphere.

Teaching Experience:

I have Privately Tutored (one-to-one) in English Literature/Language/Creative Writing and some History.
I have also run a Creative Writing Workshop for the past 18 months in Salisbury, and am currently spreading out, having received offers to teach various groups in the same area.

Teaching Approach:

I strive to create a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, as I believe that creativity should be fun, and yet ultimately rewarding. I have taught different ages and different abilities -including people with learning disabilities - and have always found the experience to be very rewarding for all concerned (myself included).

It is always nerve wracking when someone reads your writing for the first time but I felt at ease straightaway and grateful for the opportunity to learn from him. He read my story, wrote some notes and we discussed them during the class. He is a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and honest critic and I’m already looking forward our next class!
