Personal Description:
First and foremost, I am a wine-lover! A passion shared with me by enthusiastic friends, I am lucky to have turned the world of wine into my profession. My wine career spans twenty years and began with an independent wine merchant, specialising in organic and biodynamic wines. I bought and sold wines for them and was fortunate to travel to some amazing places and meet fascinating winemakers. From there I left to become a wine writer and was published in various newspapers, consumer magazines and trade journals. I also judged at wine competitions in the UK and abroad and continued to travel as a wine writer and host to UK buyers. Today I run a small but successful content writing business for the wine trade and continue to explore my love of wine with unabated enthusiasm.
Teaching Experience:
In the course of my wine career, I have given wine tastings to all sorts of groups and individuals. From professional wine clubs to corporate evenings, birthday parties and more studious courses.
Teaching Approach:
I believe that all learning should be fun, especially all things wine-related! Whether you want an introduction to wine or an in-depth look at vinification, you can expect a professional and knowledgeable approach, always delivered with a smile and a sense of humour. I love my subject and always hope to share that.
