Personal Description:
I am married with five boys aged 4 to 13. I have always been interested in craft, and have indulged in many creative hobbies whilst at St. Andrews University, and since then whilst teaching at a local secondary school and raising my family. I have been making cards and beaded jewellery for some years to sell at local craft features to supplement our income and get huge satisfaction from producing beautiful things.
Teaching Experience:
I taught 11 to 18 year olds for eight years before having my family.
Teaching Approach:
I love seeing others gain satisfaction from their achievements and believe that with support and encouragement from your teacher anyone with sufficient motivation can achieve great things.

SallyFrom Mohammed (5/5): Sally helped my son gain confidence in Biology A level. She helped him prepare for the examination which worked really great he managed to improve his grades.

Sally tutored my son in GCSE sciences from February to June this year. Sally was a brilliant tutor and I would have no hesitation in recommending her. My son enjoyed his classes with Sally and benefitted from her enthusiastic and supportive approach. Sally was also very thorough in her teaching and in providing revision of all the topics. I was most impressed with Sally's ability to engage very successfully with a tricky teenager!

From Nicola (/5): This feedback has been left as requested by First Tutors to enable me to get a refund of my introduction fee. Tutoring did not take place by mutual agreement as it transpired Sally is in fact a parent of a child in my sons class. My son did not want to pursue. I can only rate Sally excellent as she was very understanding in this situation
From Tina (/5): Sally quickly sussed out what Emerald needed to focus on and they got straight into it. She is finding the sessions really helpful and Sally is flexible which I have found helpful. She is available by e mail in between sessions which is very good.

After only two lessons he has a structured revision plan, detailed notes to help him learn each topic and she emails questions for him to complete as homework before the next lesson with her. She is providing exactly the friendly, supportive help that we were looking for and we are very pleased to have found her.
