Personal Description:
I am an artistic, creative and passionate Educator with a belief that learning is a life-long journey that can bring a lot of joy to your life!
Education is an art, not a science - it can be moulded to fit and enhance each individual so that they can grow and flourish. I am passionate about creating the right atmosphere (garden) so that each learner u encounter can experience growth and nourishment.
I am also a certified Mental Health First Aider (MHFA, England) with a knack for combining mental well-being with a growth mindset.
Teaching Experience:
I absolutely love tutoring and relish the attention I can give to my students one-to-one. There is power in focusing on one student for a period of time, watching them grow and grasp new concepts, inspiring them to harness their strengths and supporting them in the areas they need to develop.
Working with a wide range of learners has also enriched my capacity to learn from the younger generation who have so much to teach. It is a fascinating cycle of giving and receiving.
While studying for my Law degree, I was chosen as the Student Representative, acting as a liaison between the student body and the various members of staff. This enabled me to develop skills in negotiating, public speaking and advocacy. Furthermore, it has put me in a pivotal position to draw parents in to the cycle of learning and empower them to engage confidently with the education of their children, leading to family learning - a win win situation for all involved!
I am currently able to offer - extensive support to learners being home schooled, intensive tutoring sessions tailored for younger students over the half term breaks and longer holidays, supportive sessions to university students working on their dissertation, bespoke sessions in Elocution and Public Speaking.
Gaining vital "insider" experience working as an external Assessor for an organisation that trains Head Teachers and exceptional Middle Managers in schools across the country has cemented my conviction that "Every lesson shapes a life." Each learner has to feel valued and believed in for them to reach their full potential.
Teaching Approach:
Kindness, Respect and Empathy underpin my beliefs as an Educator.
Working with the “whole” learner is key and developing them emotionally as well as academically will lead to more emotionally intelligent human beings who can add so much to society by approaching life from a holistic point of view - head & heart!
With all this in mind, I tutor with a long-term vision. Helping students pass their exams is not my primary focus. It is only part of the big picture.
Nowadays, more and more organisations are keen to employ students who have more than just academic skills, they are looking for people with employability skills - those who will stand out for more than just their class-taught knowledge.
So, alongside tutoring, I also mentor my students to think bigger than themselves and consider what part they want to play in changing their corner of the world as admirable global citizens.
I encourage them to think about their resilience, their curiosity to understand the world around them, their eagerness to learn and become team players, their leadership qualities and their empathy for others who are different to them.

Her teaching methods are great and my son has been challenged but not overwhelmed. As a parent we have seen a lot improvement in his writing and reading.
I will recommend her highly.
Win-Win!
He has proved my theory right - When teachers choose to be learners also, their students are empowered to show them new ways of seeing life, people and education. I am learning a lot from him too. What a gift!
Her teaching style is great and would recommend her at anytime to anyone.
Peju has demonstrated every quality you’d expect and desire – careful planning, engaging delivery combining structure as well as flexibility, enthusiasm for the subject well echoed by the participants and a detailed feedback after each lesson. She has worked closely with the parents to achieve the goals agreed (both academic and practical) and readily accommodated needs and requests arising throughout the course.
Peju is a warm and caring person and she connected with the children right from the start. She created a safe and encouraging environment for them to explore, express and share and made each lesson a celebration of thought and discovery.
Peju is a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person and I couldn’t recommend her enough. We, parents and children alike, are all looking forward to more inspirational learning with her very soon.
