Information About Paul - Peterhead teacher

Personal Description:

Professional artist (predominantly painting, drawing, photography) living and working on the coast north of Aberdeen. I am a graduate of Gray's School of Art, in Painting. I work with a variety of media including oils and watercolours and have won various awards for my paintings. I have spent a large proportion of my career in teaching (30+ years) and love sharing and passing on skills and experiences with other people.

Teaching Experience:

I originally trained as a secondary school teacher and in the past have taught at secondary, primary and University levels, as well as non-academically to many people. I have taught practical field courses, club events, portfolio classes, academic classes as well as one-to-one tutoring, both towards a goal and just for fun.

Teaching Approach:

I believe that everyone can acquire the skills they need to make art. Everyone is different and each person requires a different approach. I am a sympathetic and patient teacher and I am offering one-to-one tutoring to help you to improve in drawing and painting, based here at my studio or out and about in the north-east, whether you are a complete beginner or a more experienced artist.
My studio is fully equipped and tutoring is tailored to individual requirements; and can be a single session or a series.
