Personal Description:

As a photography tutor of many years standing, I am currently based on the `Sunrise Coast` of Suffolk near to England`s most easterly town of Lowestoft.

As a very experienced photography tutor and former Suffolk Wildlife Trust photographer, I am able to teach many different styles photography with the emphasis being on teaching creative landscape, seascape & nature photography.

Each of my workshops are designed to meet each student`s own personal level of ability and subject requirements.

I offer a selection of hourly tuition classes plus full 1-day, 2-day & 3-day photography workshops to suit my clients needs.

Unlike other tuition providers, I can also offer free-of-charge a full range of camera equipment to enhance the quality of tuition.

No matter what make or model of camera you use or level of ability, I can quickly teach you how to become a more proficient photographer.

N.B. All classes and workshops begin at my home address.

Teaching Experience:

With over 15 years of tutoring experience teaching photography on the 'Sunrise Coast' of Suffolk, I have become one of Suffolk`s leading 1-on-1 & 2-on-1 photography tuition providers.

Apart from teaching over 550 individual students, my photographs and photography skills have also been widely used by the Daily Mail, Photography for Beginners magazine, Amateur Photography magazine, the BBC, Briar School of English, Royal Entomological Society, the Ford Motor Company, the Suffolk Wildlife Trust, Lowestoft U3A, Bungay camera club, Aldeburgh photographic society, the Southend-on-Sea photographic society, the Lowestoft blind and partially sighted bowling club, Chet Valley photography club, Archant Publishing, St Margaret`s church Lowestoft and Carousel calendar publishers.

I am generally available throughout the year on a 7-days per week basis. I usually offer tuition between the hours of 8.30 - 18.00 hours.

Teaching Approach:

Levels of Tuition

If you are new to photography or you have a keen passion to learn more about the art of digital photography, I can offer you a suitable level of tuition to suit your exact needs.

Basic Level Photography

Starting from scratch, I can teach you all need to know about using any make or model of digital camera. From selecting the correct camera settings such as ISO, shutter speed and aperture settings to suit any particular subject, I can teach you all you need to know about using your camera for basic level photography.

Going beyond the basic settings on the camera, I can also teach you about composition, lead-in lines, depth-of-field, selective focusing and the use of close-up filters and ring-flash for close-up photography.

Advanced Tuition

Advanced tuition allows students to select a more specific style of tuition. This can include anything from using neutral density filters for motion-blur and zoom-burst photography to using your camera for creative landscape & nature photography with workshops held 'on-location' at a variety of internationally important nature reserves, including RSPB Minsmere.

Image Enhancement & Printing

If required, we can also demonstrate how to use your computer's software to fine-tune and enhance the quality of your images.
