Personal Description:

I have an MA in Creative Writing and I have tutored Creative Writing at HarperCollins Publishers and at Oxford University, where I currently teach.

I am a published, award-winning poet, literary translator and editor. I have worked in print journalism as a magazine staff writer, sub editor, editor-in-chief and as a commissioning editor, a freelance copywriter and as a literary agent. This unique combination allows me to provide valuable insights into my students' work.

Teaching Experience:

I have been a creative writing tutor at Oxford Brookes University, Bath Spa University, HarperCollins Publishers in schools and libraries and community centres nationwide.

Teaching Approach:

I enjoy nurturing creativity in my students and I encourage them to think about their work objectively and to provide them with the tools to be able to self-edit and go on to become self-sustaining writers and authors in their own right.
