Personal Description:

Recently awarded a distinction in my Masters degree at the University of Manchester. I received an A* in both GCSE and A level and have received a commendation from the Cass Art competition, 2012. Since an early age, I've had a fascination with faces and have developed a particular interest in portraiture, studying for some time, the human anatomy, and applying this knowledge in my work. Growing up, my interests expanded to landscapes, still life and even abstract art. I've been inspired by a great range of artists including; Toulouse Lautrec, Matisse, Van Gogh, Whistler and many more. I like to work with a range of media, inclluding; soft pastels, charcoal, watercolour, acrylics, oils and inks and have some experience experimenting with mixed media as well.

Teaching Experience:

I have 9 years experience giving a range of private tuition to poeple from the age of 4 to adults. I also worked as a teacher in a Montessori and Reggio-Emilio school, giving creative workshops and developing my own unique teaching methodology for educating children in their early years. In addition to this, I managed a range of art workshops online, giving tutorials in a variety of medium, including; pensil, pastels and watercolours.

Teaching Approach:

Having taught such a range of people a wide range of different subjects, my approach is felxible and tailored to the needs of the indevidual. I am extremely attentive to the energy and pace of development required and always persevere with a patient, focused and posetive approach that empowers the learner to perform to the best of their potential, allowing their unique perspectives and visions to flourish through the enhancement of skill and proficiency in their art.
