Personal Description:
I am a patient, friendly person who greatly enjoys helping other people to develop their skills and talents. I enjoy working with a wide range of people, from complete beginners to post graduates and experienced adults.
I have worked as a professional artist and illustrator for over thirty years.
This career has included work on over twenty books, numerous exhibitions and many years of freelancing for major publishing firms in the UK and Europe.
Teaching Experience:
As a tutor I work with a wide range of ages and abilities, both privately and with bodies such as Artscare/GofalCelf, CAT Machynlleth, Moelyci SSSI Environmental Centre, Powys local authority mentoring scheme, Neath Port Talbot local authority, Carmarthenshire Youth Services and many schools and art groups throughout Wales.
Teaching Approach:
I believe that one of the most important things any tutor can do is listen.
My priority is always to understand precisely what it is that the student wants and needs, and then to devise appropriate and individual ways of helping them to achieve their goals.
