Information About Danae - Tunbridge Wells teacher

Personal Description:

I am a Greek sculptress, with a first degree awarded from the Athens School of Fine Arts after a five year FT study and the Academy of fine Arts of Brera, in Milan. I have a master degree in Fine Arts: sculpture from the University of the Arts in London and a MA(RCA) in Ceramics and Glass from the Royal College of Fine Arts and Design. Post academic qualifications I followed ten year of Academic career, teaching sculpture as well as ceramics in Higher Education institutions. In my personal practice as an artist I have mainly worked with portraiture, both in Painting and Sculpture and have received commissions for the public space.

Teaching Experience:

Among my teaching qualifications I hold a QTS which enables me to gain valuable experience teaching in various state and independent schools in Kent. I have also taught on a private 1-1 and 1-2 basis and some of my students have received 100/100 fee waivers for top independent schools.

Teaching Approach:

I am putting all my heart into inspiring and helping young pupils taking out their creativity and curiosity into arts. I do believe that everyone has a talent, which is about 5-10 per cent of what’s needed to become a successful artist. The rest is hard work and discipline.
