Personal Description:

I am enthused by both chess and learning, and I have a real desire to pass this passion onto others. I studied Economics at Cambridge and hope to share my enthusiasm to learn with my tutees.

I have over ten years of experience of playing chess competitively and have represented my County at both junior and adult level as well as winning numerous tournaments including the Kent U18 GRand Prix series. My peak ECF grade is 181 and my international FIDE grade is 1938.

I also have experience of working for economic consultancies in the city, where I have developed my ability to adjust my communication to the audience.

I have a track record of successful tutoring from ages five to eighteen over the past six years. I specialise in Chess but have successfully taught Maths, German, Economics, English, and non-verbal reasoning.

Ensuring tutees reach their potential is important to me, whether they are struggling with work or achieving an A* at Maths A-level aged 14, as one of my recent tutees did.

Qualifications:

Teaching Approach:

Sessions will be tailored to the pupil, ensuring that they receive the support they need to thrive. I work with parents to ensure the program is right for the child and that you are getting value for your money. I also encourage students to develop their skills independently and can provide resources and suggestions to aid this.
