Personal Description:
After teaching in an English Primary School in Spain I have returned to the Isle of Wight where I grew up.
I learned to knit when I was at primary school and have been knitting ever since. I now divide my time between teaching knitting and attending craft fairs.
Teaching Experience:
Apart from teaching my class, I also ran dinner-time and after-school knitting club at the schools where I was teaching. Since I have returned to the island I have taught at the wool shop Strictly Knitting in Shanklin until it closed, and one-to-one classes.
Teaching Approach:
I enjoy passing on the magical feeling of making something out of a ball of wool. I believe there is no one way to learn how to knit, nor is there only one way to knit. Knitting should be a pleasure and so all my lessons are adapted to the speed and needs of the student. I have taught from 8-year-olds to 60 years.
