Personal Description:
I am a vibrant young lady, with a zest for teaching because I enjoy seeing students realize their potential and harness it after every tutoring session. I am a medical student and BScMedSc Hons Neuroscience and Physiology graduate. I have experience in laboratory work and human cadaver dissections. I am a judge, host, and ambassador of various science fairs, national and international. I also love cooking, knitting, and reading in my free time. I look forward to walking this journey with you!
Tutoring Experience:
I held the position of Founder, Liason Officer, and tutor in Lyttelton Manor High's Peer Tutoring Society and taught the following subjects: Mathematics, Business Studies, Life Sciences, and English Home Language. I headed the Academic Advisory team at Stellenbosch University's Heemstede ladies' residence for a year (2019-2020) and this has given me vast experience in teaching study methods, coping mechanisms in terms of workload, and establishing a work-life balance on campus.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that a steady foundation is important in every subject I tutor and hence focus on basics as I have seen how vital they are in how a student approaches more complex questions. I use example or case study-based teaching modules to simulate real experiences. I also allow the student to ask as many questions as they feel comfortable asking.
