Information About Yolanda - East London tutor

Personal Description:

I am Yolanda, a second year Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting student who is on the road to becoming a chartered accountant CA(SA). Leadership, versatility & adaptability, organisation and analytical thinking are just a few of the skills that I possess. I am a born achiever and I believe in constantly applying myself in order to reach newer and greater heights. I was the head prefect in my Matric year, the class representative for 4 consecutive years in High school, received the English Home Language award, top 10% of my macroeconomics class in my second year of Accounting and achieved 80% in mathematics in my second year as well.

Tutoring Experience:

My first teaching experience was with pupils from my alma mater for the November 2020 NSC examinations. I love instilling knowledge in others and teaching learners how to identify their academic goals, plan for them and implement those success strategies.

Tutoring Approach:

I use a you-already-know approach to tutoring. Most of the time the key to understanding is to tone down the noise in your head telling you that you do not know the work, and focus more on the fact that the system is designed to make you great- not fail. I am confident in my work and that energy radiates and extends to whomever will receive my services. Academics can be so empowering but remember you need to put in the work. It takes patience , trial & error and believing in yourself to be successful. Tutorials are a safe space.
