Personal Description:
I am a highly organised, detail oriented academic tutor who aims to provide academic support through encouragement and instilling confidence in high school and university students by tailoring my delivery style to the particular students` needs. I believe in the limitless potential of all students and acknowledge that each student has strengths and weaknesses in certain subject areas. I deliver well prepared and researched lessons to enhance the student`s understanding of concepts, coupled with alternate methods, examples and work exercises to explain content. I believe that my responsibility as a tutor is to instruct, direct and advise students in order for them to be independent and do their own work that truly reflects their own abilities
Tutoring Experience:
- Worked one-on-one with high school learners in subjects which include Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Accountancy
- Assisted students preparing for the November grade 12 exams
- Identified the needs of learners and adapted course content and delivery style to meet their needs.
- Voluntarily tutored some primary school children who live and attend the local primary school where I live.
Tutoring Approach:
Both Online, Distance and face-to-face interactions.
