Personal Description:

I am a Pupil Advocate awaiting admission as an Advocate of the High Court. I completed my LLB studies in 2022 with North West University. I have interrupted my Master of Laws (“LLM”) studies with North West University in 2023 due to pupillage commitment in 2024.

Tutoring Experience:

I have extensive and diverse teaching experience. As an Academic Assistant my duties entailed: undergraduate programme assistance to lecturers and deputy director; administrative support to the student manager; invigilation and assessment marking; street law appraisal and coordination; supervision of Bachelor of Laws (“LLB”) dissertations.I lectured Legal Skills module and my role included : to design and develop coursework; deliver lecturers, seminars and tutorials; set and mark assessments including exams; advise students on academic matters; perform administrative related to the course; provide feedback to students. During my LLB studies, I was appointed as a supplementary instructor for South African and world history (“SI”).The SI duties included helping studies in a specific course by leading group study sessions. These sessions were designed to reinforce course material and help students develop study skill. As an SI, I also attended lectures, take notes and engage in collaborative activities.I have 73% average for LLB studies and 15 distinctions including modules Legal Interpretation, Law of Property, Delict, Insolvency, Evidence, Contract, Development and Local Government Law, Admnisitrative Law, Public Administration and Legal Practice.

Tutoring Approach:

I pride myself in creating a tutorial environment that accommodates the needs of my individual students while still promoting a high level of critical thought and writing skills. I opine that I would thrive as a tutor, due to your belief that students becomes the most empowered version of themselves; investing in the human potential; growing minds, dreams and employment to benefit our nation as a whole .
