Personal Description:
I am extremely passionate about the subjects I have chosen to tutor in. I have just completed my MA (Hons) Accounting and Finance at the University of Edinburgh. In my third year I did an exchange course at the University of Sydney. I achieved the ACCA Prize in Senior Financial Accounting at the University of Sydney for being the top achiever in the unit of study. I fall within the top 5% of my cohort. In high school, accounting was my highest mark in Matric of 96%. I also studied advanced programme mathematics and as a result have a firm understanding of the subject and those related to it. However, I am not only mathematically inclined. I also have an interest and appreciation for literature and language. Throughout my schooling career I have always come in Top 20 of my grade. I get fulfilment from helping anyone who may be struggling with certain subjects or students who just want to prepare for exams and need assistance dealing with exam stress.
I enjoy watching the individuals I've tutored succeed and reach a point where not only I am proud of them but more importantly where they are proud of themselves. I am consistent and hardworking and I try my best to reflect this outlook onto my students.
Tutoring Experience:
I have experience tutoring individuals from Grade 4 all the way through to Grade 12 in various subjects.
Tutoring Approach:
I have a firm understanding of the demands and expectations of a school curriculum. I believe all students are capable of achieving their full potential with guidance and a better understanding of the subject at hand. I am fully aware that each student has their own learning abilities. I, therefore, try to be accommodating to the different ways in which a student may like to approach the subject. I like my students to feel positively challenged while still feeling supported. I derive great satisfaction from seeing the students I tutor feel relaxed once they understand the topic or subject being studied. I strive to make the students I tutor feel comfortable and at ease with me and not feel like they are in a school environment which can sometimes be stressful and overwhelming. This means encouraging my students to contact me at any time with questions. I am a fervent believer that the best way to learn is by asking!

She's super helpful, well organised, flexible and an all round epic human-being.
My marks went up by 22% at Matric level - she knows what do to and how to help you through it.
Simone has great subject knowledge and her commitment to helping each one independently along with her ability to adapt when things may change is really exceptional. I have had many tutors over the years and must say Simone has a real passion in wanting each child to excel in their subject, this is an admirable quality and very rare indeed. Her communication is on point, so as a parent you are aware of everything good and bad, and her interim reports are much appreciated.
