Information About Micara - Midrand tutor

Personal Description:

I am a digital marketing graduate, as well as a qualified chef. I am passionate about Afrikaans and Business Studies because I had amazing tutors and teachers who sparked my love for the subjects. I am enthusiastic about fitness and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Due to working in a bookstore previously, I have grown to become an avid reader. The key genres which I am drawn to are Psychology, non-fiction, and the children’s section (which I was in charge of). I am bubbly, outgoing, and optimistic.

Tutoring Experience:

Teaching runs in my bloodline as I come from a background of female teachers and principals. My grandmother is a retired principal, her 3 (late) sisters were music, physics, and Afrikaans teachers as well. So instead of playing in my grannies’ houses with dolls, I would sit in the back of their classrooms, watching them teach. I have 5 years worth of private tutoring experience. Also, in high school, I would assist younger students with Afrikaans, Business Studies and IT.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach to tutoring includes:
• instilling confidence in my students - by rewiring their minds with daily positive affirmations and breathwork in the beginning of the lesson.
• being patient and understanding
• communicating thoroughly
• allowing my students to learn from their mistakes
• providing materials and resources that will spark their growth.
