Personal Description:

Hi, I'm Malunga, a passionate math enthusiast with a strong academic background. I achieved 82% in Pure Mathematics and 72% in Physical Sciences on my grade 12 national senior certificate, demonstrating my solid foundation in these subjects.
While I hold a degree in Pharmacy and have two years of professional experience, I'm eager to explore my interest in engineering-related fields. Tutoring offers me the opportunity to share my love for mathematics with others and contribute to their academic success.
I'm confident in my ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and engaging manner, making learning enjoyable for students. I'm excited to join the First Tutors community and help students achieve their academic goals.

Tutoring Experience:

I do not have a professional teaching/tutoring experience as such. I was just a part of study groups we formed with some of my grade 12 classmates where we helped each other for exam preparations and on topics that were not only challenging to many, but that carried more weight and were most likely to appear on exam papers. I also had a similar experience during my early years at university.

Tutoring Approach:

Upon noting the student's most challenging areas/topics, my approach will include spending a significant amount of time discussing and practicing the core basics/principles of a topic step by step while providing a lot of different interactive/engaging examples to boost their understanding , with an aim of helping the learner fully grasp the concept until they develop confidence and find joy or excitement towards the subject. This will help the learner's perception to be more positive and potentially trigger their full potential moving forward. One of the most obvious ways in which all the different individuals who got good marks on their final mathematics and science subjects used was frequent practice. But a learner who does not have a pure excitement/love for the subject will rarely do so due to either but not limited to, a lack of proper foundation/basics, missed- important steps in some of the introductory lessons. My approach is to help the learners identify and eliminate all those until they are able to utilize their capabilities to the maximum.
