My name is Lydia, I'm 28 years old and I currently live in Beijing,China.I am passionate about molding young minds through education,and shaping future capable and confident global citizens.
I enjoy travelling and learning about different cultures and their traditional customs.In my spare time I enjoy reading novels and creating fashion content,

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently teaching English in China,I have been teaching for a period of 3 years.My students are between the ages of 3 to 15,however I primarily enjoy teaching foundation phase learners.

Teaching abroad has afforded me the opportunity to teach Engish as a foreign language to non-native students.This experience has helped me to harness my teaching skills, ensuring that I design my lessons to suit my students academic needs. I also ensure that the content is engaging and challenging enough for the students to achieve the set lesson aims and objectives.

Tutoring Approach:

I use a communicative approach when i deliver my lessons.The main focus is on the students and ensuring that they are given unlimited opportunities to practice speaking English in the class through various controlled tasks .
My main area of focus with young learners is both soft and hard skills.I ensure successful learning and knowledge retention through continued practice,while ensuring the students develop into confident,inquisitive individuals.

In online sessions, I make use of PPT's through online platforms.For offline sessions , different books and resources such as handouts are more effective and practical.
