Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Jen. Mom to two sons, 3 cats and 3 dogs! I am a native English and Afrikaans speaker, with a level 5 TEFL Advanced Diploma and Business Management Diploma. With many years of business experience which included in-house training of employees, I I love learning new things and find imparting my knowledge to another person a great joy. I hope to inspire students to learn to speak English fluently and correctly, and open a new world to them.

Tutoring Experience:

Training fellow employees in various aspects of business related areas, counselling and helping non-native speakers at work learn to speak English.

Tutoring Approach:

Guide a student, but give ample opportunity for them to practice speaking and give corrections in a supportive way when appropriate. Use content which a student will find interesting and challenging, and encourage them to try their best. Listen to the students concerns and give feedback on progress. Have a sense of humour and get students to relax and enjoy the class knowing that they can be themselves and make mistakes, we will work through it and learn the correct English.
