Personal Description:
I am a final year Education student at Wits. I am an aspiring leader and in the near future, would like to play a role in community development. My greatest moments in life include my mentoring and encouragement in other students to conquer academic obstacles which they encounter.I am a spontaneous and lively individual who strives to see and bring the best out of people. In a nutshell, I have a continuous zeal to learn while believing in sharing it with others.
Tutoring Experience:
6 weeks of full time teaching experience in Primary school
12 weeks of full time teaching experience in various High Schools within Gauteng
Tutoring Approach:
One thing that keeps myself and fellow students sane whilst learning is: 'keeping it real'. I believe if knowledge is transferred through means of everyday examples, simple diction and reference to prior knowledge, the transmittion of learning will be a successfully executed. Another thing to bear in mind is setting. Most of the time, our cognition is stimulated by our surroundings. Consequently, a welcoming and peaceful environment fosters intense learning acquisition.
