I'm a bilingual (English and Afrikaans) qualified teacher who believes learning should be fun and engaging. Thus, I aim to provide my students with quality tutoring that inspires life-long learning.

As a mother of two young children, I deeply appreciate the significant impact of education and professional development. I am committed to pursuing excellence not only for myself but also for my students. With over a decade of professional teaching experience, I am passionate about helping students excel and rebuild their confidence in their abilities.

Tutoring Experience:

With over 12 years of teaching experience, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of my subject areas while continuously refining my teaching strategies. My journey as an educator has allowed me to deeply appreciate the diverse learning styles of students and to adapt my approach to meet their individual needs. This flexibility has been integral to my success in fostering an effective learning environment.

During the course of my studies, particularly while completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Education, I had the opportunity to work at a play school, which provided invaluable insight into early childhood development. This experience paved the way for my transition into a classroom teaching role, where I taught Grade 7 for two years. Over the past decade, I have taught a variety of subjects, including Economical Management Science (EMS), English, and Maths Literacy, to students in Grades 8 through 12. I am also a TESOL certified tutor and qualified IELTS preparation tutor.

Throughout my career, I have learned to approach each lesson with a focus on clarity, engagement, and critical thinking. I believe in providing a structured yet flexible learning experience that caters to the unique strengths and challenges of each student. My commitment to excellence ensures that I continuously strive for the highest standards of teaching while maintaining a warm and supportive environment in which students feel confident to take risks and grow academically.
