Personal Description:

Perseverance, persistence, creativity, versatility, discipline, and exuberance are my middle names. I am currently in my penultimate year at the University of Western Cape. Well, I can say that English is my favorite subject. I went to an Afrikaans primary school and therefore have an advantage when it comes to tutoring English since it was then regarded as a Home Language. Furthermore, I like English such that during my high school years, I would teach and help other pupils as well . All I tell myself is to fly at the airport of determination and land at the airport of success. Hence, I achieved a near distinction for English in matric. This utterly exhibits that I have a great understanding of the subject. However, my desire to teach English is restricted to language and essay writings. Therefore, I do not specialize that much in literature.

Tutoring Experience:

I taught other pupils at my high school during leisure. I then ascertained certain difficulties that pupils encountered. As a result, I established an English and debate club when I was in my tenth grade. Therefore, I have 2 years of experience in teaching such a subject. I have also mentored a lot of pupils at my high school.

Tutoring Approach:

My mindset about education is simple; stability, discipline, seeing the bigger picture, and function. This is a trait that has given me a vast knowledge spectrum. I also desire to see students actively involved in their learning by eliciting responses from them instead of just giving them information. Moreover, as my approach to tutoring is online, I am willing to even set a short test for my students once in a while just to test their knowledge. I will also furnish them with notes and resources necessary and applicable for their level. Furthermore, help them with tasks they are given at school. I believe that this will bring the best out them. I always say that everyone has the ability to get to the top and be the best but many lack discipline to keep or retain themselves at the top. In other words, my tutoring lessons will also instill discipline to students.
