Information About Bongi - Bandur tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Bongi from Johannesburg, Gauteng Province. Teaching is my first career and my greatest passion in life. Have 24 years of teaching experience. Obtained a Bachelor of Pedagogics from the University of Fort Hare. Majored in English, Xhosa, History and Education. Also acquired certificates on TEFL Universal (Teach English as Foreign Language Abroad), Project Management and Computer Courses.

Tutoring Experience:

TEACHING EXPERIENCE:
Taught English and isiXhosa Languages from Grade 10-12 and History from Grade 11 and 12. Teaching IsiXhosa Home Language for 16 years, teaching isiXhosa Literature, grammar, vocabulary, reading, writing from Grade 10-12. I assist student with exam preparations. Teaching isiXhosa to adults. Worked with All Saints and Zingisa Projects on a part-time basis teaching English and History in the afternoons. Projects were to help Grade 10-12 learners achieve better results. Worked also on a part-time basis during evenings with the Department of Higher Education for working adults who wanted to further and improve their studies. During my teaching years I worked as a Level 1 teacher, later Head of Department for Languages and Humanities. Later became the Deputy Principal of the school.

Tutoring Approach:

My teaching approach is designed and tailor made to suit every individual`s needs. I believe that every learner is unique with different learning perspectives. The teaching approach is also to enhance learning and thus creating a conducive environment for effective learning to take place.
