Personal Description:

Good day to you.
I live in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.
Being a mother, I understand how busy parents can be, and how they sometimes wish for someone to help them.
I also understand that children can feel overwhelmed by the new information they need to process and the homework they need to do.
After thinking about the character and skills I wanted that "someone" to have, I chose patience, caring, kindness, and a good role model, just to name a few.
Finding someone suitable ended with me being recommended and chosen.

Tutoring Experience:

I enjoy helping children improve their understanding of school subjects they are struggling with.
Mathematics, Accounting and Afrikaans were my favourite subjects at school.
Bookkeeping became my career of choice.
After many years as a bookkeeper and helping children with their schoolwork, I realised that I really enjoyed tutoring.
Since 2016 I have been helping many children improve their understanding of Mathematics, Accounting and Afrikaans, as well as providing homework assistance to Grades 1 - 7.

Tutoring Approach:

I have found that children need someone to explain work in a way that makes sense to them.
Sometimes stories help, and other times I use props to make it more understandable.
Being a mother I teach each learner as I would expect my children to be taught.
Patience and kindness are a necessity in my tutoring approach.
