Personal Description:

I am a graduate who studied a Bachelor of Commerce specialising in Financial accounting at the University of Cape Town. I absolutely love tutoring Accounting, Business Studies, and Mathematics as they are all fun subjects once you understand the basic principles of each topic. I am currently working in the banking sector completing my traineeship to qualify as a Chartered Accountant.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been a private tutor for 2 years, I have done one-on-one sessions both in-person and virtually to suit my student's needs. The sessions are usually 2-4 hours long depending on the student's needs. The subjects I have tutored before include Accounting, Mathematics, Economics at both university and high school level.

Tutoring Approach:

Before a session, I get an understanding of what your main problem areas are. During the session I explain the core principles of the topic, use a real-life applicable example to help you understand the topic better then asl you to explain the theory to me usine your own words. After that we go through more complex examples, practise papers and you are free to ask any further questions you might have. I always suggest you do extra examples for further practise after the session, which I will provide to you so that you can solidify your understanding. I use this approach to ensure you grasp the topic in a holistic way and ensure you have a solid foundation of the content.
