Personal Description:

I am an Advocate of the High Court of South Africa and Member of the Society of Advocates of KwaZulu-Natal, Durban, looking to broaden my horizons in the education field. I obtained my LLB (cum laude) from the University of the Free State.

Tutoring Experience:

I've been an Advocate since 2019 and I've always enjoyed helping other new lawyers better their work and become better legal practitioners.

Tutoring Approach:

I care about my students' well-being and know how other things going on in their lives may impact on their ability to focus on a particular day. I therefore make a point of factoring how my students are feeling on a particular day so that I know at what sort of a pace I should conduct the lesson. I recap important points we discussed in the last lesson and provide an agenda for the lesson so that my students have an idea of what is going to be discussed in the lesson. I provide PowerPoint slides of mind maps of the topic for the lesson and discuss important prompts therein with the student. At the end of the lesson the student can ask other questions about the topic discussed.
