Information About Amelie - Randburg tutor

Personal Description:

Hi there! My name is Amelie , I am a 2024 matriculant who has completed her AS and A levels exams. I was awarded both 2023 and 2024 Dux Scholar for my studies. I am a big reader, always with a book in hand no matter the genre, and I also happen to have published my very own young adult fantasy novel. I am always searching for opportunities to help others, share knowledge, and show kindness. I have passions for music, writing, and science (and baked treats).

Tutoring Experience:

I have assisted students in the past voluntarily with exam preparation, understanding topics, and expanding their horizons.
I have been in various leadership roles throughout my school career.
I ran multiple charity events at my school in 2019, and volunteer at Rare Diseases South Africa as part of their Youth Programme.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in a firm, kind approach to tutoring, where the student's problem areas can be identified, worked through, and most importantly, understood. The final marks are important, and will be the main objective of my tutoring style, but nurturing a student's work ethic, curiosity, and comprehension are just as significant.

Isolate the area of difficulty, work through it together, ensure understanding has been obtained, and practice, practice, practice, until they are able to do the work on their own. No one student is like another, and with this knowledge, I can adapt my teaching style both to subject matter and the individual being taught, and have an overall fun, stimulating environment!
