My approach to online teaching is deeply personal because it stems from my own experiences as a student during the COVID years. I was in matric when the world shifted to online learning, and that period made me realize that my own way of learning isn’t the same as everyone else’s. This understanding shaped my teaching philosophy—I believe that every student learns differently, and my role is to help them discover their preferred learning style.

I make sure to accommodate different learning techniques in a creative and engaging way, whether that means using visual aids, interactive discussions, hands-on activities, or structured step-by-step guidance. I’ve recently completed my TEFL course, which has equipped me with online teaching strategies to create effective and engaging lessons in a virtual environment. Along with my practical classroom experience, I’ve developed strong skills in adapting my teaching to different needs, making sure every student feels supported and confident in their learning journey.

Currently, I am completing my Bachelor of Education in the Intermediate Phase at the University of Pretoria, majoring in English Home Language.
