Hello there, my name is Siwaphiwe and I am a PhD candidate at University of Pretoria. I hold a Master of Science in Chemistry (2024), BSc Honours (2021), and Bachelor of Science from the University of Cape Town (2020).
I am an experienced, well-equipped tutor, who is passionate and dedicated to helping learners and students achieve their academic goals.
I have tutored and helped many high school learners and university students improve their grades and excel in Mathematics and Science subjects.
Tutoring Experience:
I have over 4 years of tutoring experience. Since my second year of university, I have tutored Maths and Science to high school learners as a volunteer with Shawco Education and as a private tutor with another tutoring agency. I have also tutored first-year Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry in my current university since my second year.
Tutoring Approach:
My tutoring or teaching approach is tailored to the student's needs. In general, I try to use different strategies, explanations, and real-life analogies to assist the student in understanding and grasping the basic concepts, followed by working on exam-type questions from past exam papers as this also helps them prepare for their upcoming tests and exams.
