Personal Description:
Hi! My name is Stephanie, I'm a Food Technologist with a strong passion for science and teaching. I am very creative when it comes to finding ways to explain science and very observant, making classes unique and personalised to get the best of each student.
Tutoring Experience:
I have taught Chemistry and Physics at high school for students in Y10 and Y13, preparing them for IGCSEs and IBs. I have also been a private tutor for the last 10 years and my students are always grateful for the dedication I put into classes and the way I build up their confidence in their skills and knowledge.
Tutoring Approach:
I like to be creative when I'm explaining, find a way for the student to associate what they learn with day yo day experiences. My main objective is for them to understand what they are learning and be able to explain it in their own words. I make them reason and think on their own, encouraging the knowledge they already have and boosting their confidence. I am very observant and personalise classes taking into account the student's strengths, weaknesses and thinking process.
