Personal Description:
I am a calm, patient tutor with extensive mathematics and science background. I've worked in structural and geotechnical engineering for the past ten years, and I love being able to talk about the ideas and background theory behind my work.
Tutoring Experience:
I've worked as a structural and geotechnical engineer, have tutored at university and trained for a year as a secondary teaching intern. I offer flexible help with a range of subjects across the maths and sciences. I work with all levels of NCEA up to and including scholarship level.
I offer lessons of up to 90 minutes, depending on subject and needs, and can be flexible with online lessons or in-person tutoring in the Nelson region.
Tutoring Approach:
I focus on building a strong understanding of the theory across these subjects and on building skills to succeed with assessments. I'll work hard to explain concepts in ways you can easily understand and make them your own. I am also neurodiverse and can tailor my work to accommodate neurodiversity.
