Personal Description:

I am a mathematician, teacher, and author. From 2015, when I started my master’s studies at Massey University, I taught several courses assigned to me by the Department of Mathematics. These included calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, various workshops, and solving problem lessons/tutorials. In the past, I have prepared high school students for the International Mathematics Olympiad (IMO) for more than 16 years while in Iran. Teaching helped me to author six well-received undergraduate mathematics textbooks in calculus, geometry, and also general school mathematics.

In 2015, I started my master’s degree at Massey University. While pursuing that degree for two years most of my teaching classes were workshops and problem-solving tutorials. I also graded exams that were assigned to me by the department. Since 2018, I have taught calculus, linear algebra, mathematical analysis, complex function theory, and differential equations to both small and big classes. This includes service teaching for Engineering students and, separately, for Business students.
Additionally, I have had a few private students (10 to 15 hours per week) from Auckland's top schools each year that demanded more advanced lessons for the IB Diploma, Cambridge IGCSE, AS/A levels, or the Mathematical Olympiad.

I taught Advanced Calculus and Geometry and Combinatorics for the Olympiad at Farzanegan1 High School (which has been ranked first in the Middle East) which was only for gifted female students. The students at this school won 181 medals in all Olympiads up to 2014 when I left for New Zealand.

Tutoring Experience:

Tutoring Approach:

Make students love the subject and enjoy studying it.
Giving the student well-prepared homework and assessing the learning.
Prepare the students for maths competitions and entrance exams.
Make students to be confident with solving problems and working with advanced books.
